So just 2 days ago I picked up Les Mills Combat for the first time. I was really attracted to Les Mills Combat because it looked like it was fast moving, required some co-ordination and I really wanted to learn more about some martial arts type of stuff.
The introductory video, "The Basics" covered a TON of stuff, about 5 different fighting arts and really basic punches, kicks and stances. I can't wait to get more into them. Even after doing the 30 minute First combat video that same day, I could definitely feel my gluts, abs and balance being worked out.
The kicks are going to be really challenging for me as I have neglected doing much pure leg work...so single legged balance and stance will be a great way to get stronger I hope.
Today I did the 2nd workout, the 30 minute HIIT. There was not a lot of martial arts in it...hmmm...maybe none, but it was a really good basic video that worked lower body ,upper body and core with whatever level of intensity I could muster. It is also a really easy video to do modifications with, so my knees were happy.
Afterwards I was so excited to whip up a vanilla shakeology post workout drink that I made a video for it! Check out the video below, and leave a comment here or on youtube if you have any questions.
