I thought that this would get easier as I went, as my body got used to the workouts. But it's getting harder!
First, motivation comes and goes, the novelty is wearing off. Second, I AM getting stronger. So doing 10 pushups today is just as hard if not harder than 10 pushups 2 weeks ago. I'm just doing them with better form, going deeper, straighter back, more core muscle involvement, which ultimately, burns your pecs even more.
I am more sore today than I was 2 weeks ago!
I am losing weight and inches as well, but slowly. 3.5 lbs in 2 weeks is not insignificant, but I'm inpatient. Yes, my clothes are fitting better, but they are my "fat clothes" that are fitting better. LOL.
I have high regard to those who have successfully lost 40,60, 100 lbs or more over 12-18 months. It's a long road.
I am feeling good about myself, but every new thing I take on pushes something else behind and I need to figure out how to get back on top of things.
Quitting my job, unfortunately, is not one of them , but neither is quitting p90x. Tony Horton is waiting for me!

I'm proud of you Doc, keep bringing it!
Hopefully as the novelty wears off, the habit will take over, all you gotta do is show up and press play!
As I'm sure you're aware, your body is changing in lots of ways that may not be visible yet, just keep cranking away and when you get to the end of this ride you will be amazed!
I look forward to reading about your success.

don't get discouraged 3.5 lbs in 2 weeks is awesome. you just keep going- as you build muscle you will lose the weight. I am doing the lean version now. I did the classic for about 7 weeks and then got real sick kinda fell of the wagon. But I started over on monday doing the lean version - because it will burn the fat off quicker. then maybe when i finish 90 days of lean I will go back to the classic. what are your goals? what are you looking to lose- ? I want to lose 28 more lbs lost 30 so far since Sept 07.
Angelia :)
Thanks guys! My goals are to get down to 135, then we'll see where after that. 2 years ago I was down to 138.5 before I stopped being strict with my diet and I've slowly crept up since then.
WHne I finish p90x, I want to learn how to increase my tri training wihtout gaining weight...in the past, as soon as I began long endurance trianing I put weight back on because of all the "carb loading" I was doing. If I didn't eat, I didn't have energy.
SO I need to figure out the balance.
So 13 more pounds to go, which I will hopefully hit in Mid April!
As a side note, I've always had a secret desire to be a back model, you know, like sports bras adn stuff. I think I've got agreat back...when you can see it under the layer of insulation that I carry!
just keep going - push play and like wes said - let the habit take over. It took me until week 5 to really notice a change. Then things keep turning now pretty regularly - muscles showing up and belt notches dropping down.
