p90x Round 2 Day 8 - Chest & Back

Hey all, I'm a day behind and didn't even realize it. I worked a 10 hr shift yesterday, then headed to my dad's for dinner, which consumed the whole day.  But I did the Day 8 workout today, chest & back.  My best on that workout so far.  I really feel like I'm pushing myself harder each time and setting good goals.  I'm using 12 lbs now on the heavy pants and the lawnmowers and it's not quite enough, but close. Pullups, I'm still doing them 100% assisted, so it's hard to measure  progress, but I feel I'm using less assistance each time and really getting tired by the end of it.

I picked up a new Hortonism today, "Don't let your ego get in the way of your Success!"

Till tomorrow...

p90x Round 2 - Legs and Back (Day 6)

OK, I'm a little out of order here with my workouts.  Took 2 days off, because I was pretty tired.  But I did the legs and back today (only half the workout).  Nevertheless I'm pretty beat.  The pullups are getting better.  I'm still doing them all assisted, but they are coming easier and with better form and less assistance from my legs.

My whole body feels tired from this one.

I plan to do Yoga  later today, and then tomorrow I'll do Kempo and I'll be back on track!

p90x Round 2 - Day 2 Plyometrics

I've officially started round 2 of p90x and this time I'm serious.  2 days in a row now.  I intend to complete the entire thing.  I've been doing scattered workouts up to this point, knowing that something was better than nothing, but now I'm ready to do it again.

This week's plyo was just OK...I did the warmups and first round of exercises enthusiastically...and although I didn't make it as far as last week, the exercises I did were with much better form.

Push play with me!

p90x Plyometrics - Another week of progress!

Whew, what an amazing workout!  This is week 3 of the plyo since I picked it back up again.  Week 1 all I could do was finish the warmup and I was sore for a whole week. Last week I did the warm up and the first half of the sets up to the Mary-Catherines.  And I was sore for a week.

Today I zipped through the warmup, did the first round of EVERY set plus the bonus sports moves at the end!  I felt so much stronger, even in the first few exercises, I was doing them much more "enthusiastically" than last week.  While a bystander might not  have noticed the difference, I sure did.

By the end I was more than wiped out, but I pushed myself through the ENTIRE workout. Thanks Tony, I LOVE working out with you!

p90x Day 3 Arms & Shoulders

Got this workout started pretty late in the evening.  Worked from 8AM-6PM, went to a lecture from 7PM-9PM, stopped by my mom's house until 11PM, then got home and forced myself to workout with Tony and the gang!

Felt really good.  This was my first "day 3" workout since last March, and my weights and reps were the same as when I quit doing it last time.  So either I started too easy, or I've been doing something to keep my arms in shape.

Probably cyclocross and mountain biking is helping a little bit.

Did the first half of the workout (both rounds), then stretched then did most of Ab Ripper X...better than last time I did it.

Soon it will be a piece of cake.

Today my legs and gluts started getting sore from last night's Plyo workout, but now they are feeling pretty good, just a little bit tight.  It'd be nice if Tony worked in a little more leg stretching to today's workout since yesterday was all legs.

p90x Plyometrics - Getting Better!

OK, folks, this is round 3 of p90x for me, with a confession...Round 1 I made it 30 days.  The summer was hectic.  Round 2 I tried starting the week that I moved...big mistake!  It's been 2 months now, i've put a few pounds back on and getting tired of not feeling GREAT like I did in the spring.

So I've been convertly working out with Tony, not telling you guys about it...the diet is yet to be followed this time, but doing ANYTHING is better than doing nothing.  SO this was my 2nd plyo day...did it last week too.

Last week I got through the warm up and that was it...AND I was killer sore for the next 5 days or so.  Today I got through the warm up no problem, and did about half the workout, just the first set of each exercise (no repeats).  I hope to tell you next week that i made it through the whole thing!

Stay tuned, and keep working out!
